Anita town council signs contract with Henningsen of Atlantic to repair streets this month and finish by Sept 1. Estimated one to two days work by Henningsen crews, cost 3200 dollars plus use of outside equipment. Inhofe, 39, Dies at Veterans Hospital Omaha
Lorence Inhofe died Saturday night at 11:30 at Veterans Hospital in Omaha after two months as a patient. He had battled multiple sclerosis and used a wheelchair. Born near Anita in November 1920, he served in World War II with the CSS armed forces. He married Virginia Curtis on August 5, 1950, at Hiawatha Kansas, and the couple lived in Anita. Survived by wife, daughter Shareny, sons Ledley and Mien, parents, and a brother Donald of Atlantic. Funeral services held Tuesday at Anita Congregational Church with Reverend Lantz officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
