Mrs. je McMartin 48 wife of Harold McMartin of Town Hl reportedly hanged herself, despondent over his alleged illness. Neighbors found her in bed upstairs after she returned from St Bev hospital. No inquest. Family says death was self inflicted. Son and daughter among those informed.

Mrs Helen Young Nelsen 58, wife of Chris Nelsen, of a farm near Anita, died Friday at 3 45 am from heart complications after months of ill health. Born 1880 in Scotland, she lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Atlantic area. Survived by husband, three stepchildren, three sisters, two brothers. Funeral at Atlantic Baptist Church, Rev Bruner, sent to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania for burial.

Mrs. Cora Demming Currier, 60, longtime Anita resident, died Monday at her Chestnut Street home from heart trouble. Born September 21, 1873 in Rockford Illinois, she married Oscar Currier in 1891. Survived by four children, fifteen grandchildren, three sisters and several in laws. Funeral set for Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Roland Peacock Baxter Funeral Home Atlantic with burial in Atlantic Cemetery.

Former Anita Lady Dies at Her Atlantic Home
Nellie Mae Ecklin, 65, longtime Cass county resident since 1892 and mother of eight, died at her Atlantic home after a two year heart illness. Born May 29, 1868 near Oskaloosa, she married David Robinson in 1888, later married Charles Ecklin in 1904, and lived in Atlantic until her death. Surviving children, ten grandchildren, sister and brothers noted. Funeral 2:30 p.m. Friday at Roland, Peacock and Baxter in Atlantic. burial in Atlantic cemetery. The new Methodist Episcopal church, rebuilt after last December’s fire, will be dedicated next Sunday at 10 30 in the morning with a full program including hymns, readings, anthems, scripture lessons, a sermon by Dr J Shenton, offertory, and a postlude.
