Baby Critically Ill In Omaha Hospital

The two year old child of Dr and Mrs R A Weston is in a Omaha hospital in critical condition after being taken there by the parents last Saturday for constant care and the best medical treatment.

At the Catholic church in Wiota on Tuesday April 27 1909 John H Schaake and Mary A Stager both of this city were married by Rev Father McAlister in the presence of a few intimate friends. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Stager and a worthy young lady. John has lived in Anita all his life and many friends wish them well.

Little Hope of Recovery for Baker Babe Near Armour SD

The Tribune reports Mr and Mrs Charles S Baker recently moved to a farm near Armour South Dakota whose infant child has been dangerously ill for weeks. The baby lies in a critical condition at the M E Hospital in Omaha with little hope of recovery as per the attending physician. Neighbors and friends in the area share the sorrow.

On Dollie Rickel fourteenth birthday April 22, friends hosted a delightful surprise at eight pm. After games and music light refreshments ended the visit with birthday wishes. Oldest in Service Elias Hoxie on Chicago Milwaukee and Saint Paul

The Des Moines Capital notes Elias Hoxie has forty four years with the Chicago Milwaukee and Saint Paul railway and currently serves as conductor between Mc Gregor and Sanborn. He is the oldest man in the company west of the Mississippi in service, with only two others longer employed on the system. Troxie is his brother in law to E A Stone of this city.

Larrabee Libel Suit Against Myers Dismissed

The Libel case filed by T. B. Larrabee against Sherm F. Myers editor of the Tribune, claiming 25000 dollars for damage to character, has been dismissed in district court after two years of continuances. A parallel suit by Walter Haynes ended with a verdict for Myers, showing no libel occurred. The closing chapter follows a long, contested effort viewed as a bluff by some.

The Question Still Unsettled Fight in Courtroom

G W Mallory and W P Swolley engaged in three rounds of blows over a disputed veracity matter. They exchanged mutual promises to show the Missouri plan later. Judge Sears saw fit to assess the regular license amid the public exhibition.

Rev M Stahl announces the engagement of his daughter Miss Clara Grace Stahl to Mr Wm Paulsen of Rock Island Illinois. Marriage set for late May at Rev Stahl s Altoona home where he pastors the M E church. Friends in Anita join the Tribune in best wishes for the couple. Miss Laura Millhollen spent Sunday at home after teaching near Wiota.
