Canby Paving Plan May Start Route Linking Fontanelle
Paving of a nine mile farm to market road linking Fontanelle and Adair will begin May 1 as county officials and contractors in Greenfield approved Portland cement work. Central Construction Co. of Indianola won the bid totaling about 426 thousand dollars for four miles west of Canby and five miles south. A cement plant will be located at Canby east of the road south of the corner. The crew will start north of Fontanelle, then proceed to Canby and continue east of Canby toward the Adair end, with an expected three week finish in favorable weather.
