Cass County readers are urged to mix Pigtab Granules with feed to control roundworms slowing pig growth. The notice promotes calf raising tips, chicken care, and ventilation, offering a free calf-raising booklet and inviting customers to visit Jewett Grain and Coal Co. for advice and supplies.
The Cass County board met with all members present and approved minutes from January 15. Bids for crushed rock were opened, Missouri Valley Limestone Co. was low at 87070.81 and the chairman authorized to sign. other routine reports and the resignation of a clerk were noted. A resolution was to be adopted following the bid actions.
The notice lists weekly and special services for Holy Cross Lutheran Church the Community Bible Church Methodist and St Marys Catholic Church including Sunday worship times Sunday School and classes choir schedules and upcoming Holy Week Easter events with dates and locations for bake sale and youth rallies.
The Massena North Baptist Church announces morning worship at 9 30 A M and Sunday school for all ages at 10 30 A M Each Thursday at 4 00 P M features Bible study and a prayer meeting The verse Romans 10 13 is cited.
The Church of Christ led by Pastor Dessie Masker invites parishioners to Sunday School at 10 a.m. Communion at 11 a.m. followed by preaching, and a 7 p.m. CYF meeting. Saturday afternoons in winter are devoted to C F programs with Mrs. John Pollock.

The Cass County Board of Supervisors adopts a total available fund of 1 815 602 for 1954 allocating to general, court, poor and other funds. It awards a lumber contract to Pioneer Lumber Co. at 91 75 per thousand feet and approves bids for an automobile and a 3 ton G M C truck from Corneli son Motor Co and Soth man Motor Co respectively. William Johnson and James Bell left for the West and Anita saw a large crowd at Unique for the 4 reel Through the Clouds. John C Voorhees sought State Senate. Rural Telephone Co. directories, printed by Tribune Publishing Co, were issued. C C Smith presided at M E Church and H H King at U E Church. Walter F Budd edited the Anita Tribune.
Thirty years ago Homer Kirkham won the Anita mayoral race defeating Godfrey Miller 346 to 49. O C Hansen awarded a contract to L R Goodpasture to build a dwelling on Rose Hill Avenue. H W Budd visited Atlantic to see his sons 8 L and J W Budd. Walter F Tink Budd was editor of the Anita Tribune.
In Council Bluffs Mr and Mrs C W Clardy spent Sunday with Mrs Clardy’s niece IR Mene tay and family. Ree Clothing Co offers lace top stockings for 1.00 picot top 79 and semi fashioned 49 cents. George Raft and Harry Langdon perform at Rialta in Holero with Chaplin comparison.
Anita recollects a gala Fourth of July 1881 with a long parade led by a martial band and Civil War veterans, a sail of mortars from Jacob Houck shop, games and a leafy dance hall.
