Attempted self harm by the late Johnson's son

Johnson's son made a desperate attempt to cut his throat with a knife on or near the Johnson home north of Anita. He was found semi conscious, clothing soaked with blood, and the wound nearly severed the windpipe. Dr Camp treated him at the Johnson residence. prognosis uncertain due to possible complications.

Croxton and Hardersen Wed in Atlantic Ceremony

On Wednesday March 24 at the Parsonage in Atlantic Charles Croxton son of Mr. and Mrs. W T Croxton married Mary Hardersen daughter of Mrs Thos Harderson Rev performed ceremony. A bounteous wedding meal followed at the home of the Croxtons with a reception later. Guests included L N Pierce John Pierce Rexroude J W Beaver Hettinisses Vera Beaver Rena Taylor Ruth Taylor Laura Pierce Arthur Beaver and others.

John McGrain of Stillwater Passes After Long Life and Masonic Rites

John McGrain, a longtime resident of Stillwater Oklahoma, died at home on March 29 aged 78 after a long illness. Born in 1829 in Lafayette County Indiana he later mined in California and Australia before settling in Oklahoma. He was married in Australia to Eana Rollins and is remembered as a good, faithful man with strong Masonic ties. Funeral services were held at his Stillwater home with Masonic honors.

Little Child Injured In Accident At Home

The son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Preston slipped and struck his head causing spasms. Dr. H. E. Campbell, nearby at a neighbor’s house, provided prompt care and reported the child's condition greatly improved.

Wheatley Sues for 600 Insurance Claim After Explosion

Through attorney T B Swan L W Wheatley sues Cass County Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Association seeking 600 on a policy. The dispute stems from an acetylene explosion at Wheatley’s Northtown home that destroyed his house. He previously sued for insurance but was dismissed after a Supreme Court ruling that an explosion is not a fire. He now claims a new decision allows fire coverage under similar circumstances and the case is filed for the April term.

She moved with parents to Streator Illinois married John A Parker December 24 1854 moved to Cass County Iowa 1830. Survived by five of nine children A C Godanour W T Parker G W Parker Mrs Frank Sigler Anita and Mrs Lofa Marsh McLean Nebraska. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
