Anita Light Plant Contracts Awarded After Bid Meeting
Town council met in special session last Thursday to award four contracts for a municipal electric light plant in Anita. Jensen Construction won brickwork at 18680 dollars, Worthing Engine Co secured two diesel engines with generators, W. Jones Electric Co of Kansas City earned the distribution system bid at 25578.95, and Elec Motor Co of Cedar Rapids won electrical equipment installation at 5400 dollars. Total bids approach 39500 dollars with extra costs bringing estimated total to the 111000 authorizing cap.
