A good crowd attended the Anita Spring Opening retail promotion Friday and Saturday as brisk weekend sales reported. The retail committee offered free pop and chips at the Legion Hall Friday and served 700 hog sausage sandwiches on Saturday. A double drawing at the Anita Theatre Saturday evening produced $5 prize winners and $10 prize winners including Ida Pollock and Albert Karns Sr.
