Anita Iowa City Council Proceedings August 27 1923
The Anita Iowa city council met at the Town Hall at 7 30 A M with Mayor Campbell and five council members present. The committee reported on property value affected by paying improvements and the council adopted its estimate. Several resolutions were read and adopted including preparation of plans and specifications, approving those plans, and ordering construction and bids. A grade ordinance passed on its second and third readings after suspending rules. The meeting adjourned with Town Clerk W T Biggs recording the proceedings.

Frank H. Stacey, former Anita resident and Guthrian editor, received sweepstakes and fifteen ribbons at the Iowa State Fair for top display of bees honey and beeswax. This is his third year exhibiting with improving ribbons. the Staceys plan to move from Iowa Falls to Guthrie Center soon.
