Miss Esther Kuehn Returns to Waterloo College of Commerce
Esther Kuehn spent two weeks in Anita visiting relatives and friends and returned Sunday to Waterloo to resume stenography and bookkeeping studies at the College of Commerce. Mayor Homer Kirkham and Sylvester Kirkham Jr have bought out all other heirs to the Kirkham homestead near Anita. Bessie Kirkham receives use of the Anita residence for life. William C Carter and wife returned from eastern Iowa and paused with Daughenbaughs on their way home to Humboldt, South Dakota, traveling by car with little trouble.

Obituary of Clara Verona Petersen 1899 1918
Clara Verona Petersen daughter of Mr and Mrs Anton Petersen of Audubon township was born in Shelby county August 23 1899. She died at her home August 25 1918 age 19 years 1 day after a short illness. Survived by parents five sisters five brothers and other relatives. Funeral services at home Monday at noon Rev Rasmussen of Exira officiating interment Exira cemetery.
