Great Cass County Fair Opens With Purses And Fireworks

The Great Cass County Fair at Atlantic runs September 14 to 16 featuring racing purses totaling 3,500 with free attractions and music worth 1,900 and exhibitor premiums of 2,000. A fireworks display on September 16 offers 1,000, with a fair carnival and race meet plus music by the Anita, Atlantic and Massena Bands.

Pastors Return Sought for Anita Church

The First M E church membership asks for Rev. Robt W Swick to return to Anita for the next conference year. The petition was sent to District Superintendent EE McDade to present to the Bishop and appointing power. Swick’s efforts have been valued and his return would please the church and community.
