Maine election cries over seas of nations policy
The text argues that Maine favored the League of Nations, cites a 63,000 Republican majority as a hypothetical, and claims Democratic managers have time to expose a Republican slush fund. It accuses the Democratic nominee of causing world disruption and notes political reactions and social events in the community, including a Rebekah gathering and a church supper. It also reports the theft of an overcoat and the return of a funeral procession for Private Ray Enfield, 30, who died in France in 1919.
