Library Open Day at the Des Moines Library
An open day event is held Thursday October 2 at 8 PM in the library. Anita Miss Julia A Robison sec of the Iowa Library Commission describes laws for Iowa libraries and the Carnegie Libraries program. Mrs Carey and Mrs Smith present readings and a library report by Mrs Carter Jr. All are invited.

Rasmussen Returns Home From Royal Male Quartette Tour
R. C. Rasmussen came back to Anita after a twenty week engagement with the Empire Lyceum Bureau as part of the Royal Male Quartette. The group toured the south and as far west as California with stops in Ohio New York Denver Springfield Missouri Pueblo Colorado and Indiana on a fall and winter return. Friends wish him further success as the quartet plans another season starting October 11th or 13th.

Obituary of Katherine Frisch Stager of Anita Iowa
Katherine Frisch Stager, born February 16 1852 in Bavaria Germany, died September 25 1913 at her home in Anita Iowa after heart trouble. She married John Stager in Germany in April 1876 and had ten children, seven surviving. Funeral held at Wiota Catholic Church with Father McAllister officiating, interment in Wiota Catholic Cemetery. Survived by husband, seven children Mrs J H Schaake, Wm H Frank W Edward Clara Anita, Chas M Valley Junction, Mrs A F Becker Carroll, two sisters Mrs Clara James and Mrs Clara Standacher, and brother John Fresch. The family moved to Carroll County, then Extra, and have resided in Anita since November 101.
