Anita High School nears final rounds of the basketball tournament with a three game total score system. Sophomores and Juniors compete for finals while Freshmen are out. Former Anita Lady Nettie Parmley Dies After Illness

Nettie Ann Parmley widow of Myron B. Parmley died at 4 40 am Tuesday at 403 Birch Street Atlantic after a brief illness from heart failure. She was 52 and survived by seven children and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 30 pm at her home conducted by Rev M A Gable with interment in Atlantic Cemetery.

Juniors Halloween Party At Pierce Home

Twenty three members of the High School Junior Class gathered Friday night at Mr. and Mrs. O. Pierce home for a Halloween party hosted by Kenneth Pierce. Miss Grey and Miss Lockard supervised. Businessmen and others in Anita have subscribed to a fund to cover the first and second payments on street paving abutting four churches Methodist Congregational Christian and Evangelical.
