The sheriff will sell the defendants interest in parts of sections 18 and 7 in township 76N, range 34W, at 10 o clock A M on May 23 1022 at the Atlantic Courthouse. W A McKee Sheriff notes good weather aids farmers in delaying farm work.
The Iowa Insurance Commissioner certifies that the Great Union Fire and Marine Insurance Company of New Orleans is authorized to transact fire insurance in Iowa until March 1, 1923. The statement shows capital of 250,000. net income 77,158.21. expenditures 36,608.47. assets 567,800.66. liabilities 32,552.79. Also notes bank reorganizations and local notices about individuals and businesses in Des Moines, Anita, Massena, and Chicago.
The Granite State Fire Insurance Company of Portsmouth New Hampshire filed a sworn statement with the Iowa Insurance Department on December 21 1921 under state law. Commissioner A C Savage notes figures for policy amounts and aggregate values through 1921 including 200000.00 single risk limits and totals reaching 1 083 685 53 for aggregate commitments. The document is dated April 21 1922 and attests to the sworn filing.
