Wounds Prove Fatal Harold Ballentine Dies After Accident
Harold LeRoy Ballentine died at 12, after three months in paralyzed condition from a shotgun accident at age 12. He was struck in the back by a blast fired by his older brother Floyd while pigeon shooting in a barn near Bear Grove township. Survived by parents Birch and Mrs Ballentine and brothers Floyd and Ralph. Funeral held at the family home with Rev Rodenback officiating and burial in Atlantic cemetery.

Clarence Robinson and his son, recently starting a hardware business in Wiota, enjoyed good patronage as the Christian Church hosted a Children’s Day service Sunday evening. A large congregation heard choruses solos duets declamations and instrumental selections with special praise for the young participants directed by Mrs. A J Joy Mrs J C Lightfoot and Mrs Peter Scott Jr.

H A Johnson former Audubon printer and Malta Montana Republican editor arrived with his wife and two daughters Gayle and Blanche for a homecoming visit. He attended the Chicago Republican convention and predicted Montana would deliver the electoral vote next November. The family planned to return home Monday after gatherings with the Peter F Anderson family and others in the city.
