City Council Approves Fifteen More Blocks Of Paving
At the regular monthly meeting the City Council ordered fifteen additional blocks of street improvement, to be let at an adjourned session on Monday evening June 18. Work on Main street from Evergreen Cemetery to the west limits progresses rapidly with grading curbing and guttering on side streets, and concrete spreading schedules keep pace with brick laying, promising an earlier finish. The notice of improvement in today’s Record outlines the streets included, and owners are urged to proceed now as costs are lower due to current labor and material prices and available equipment.
