The Senate approved a bill totaling 2797 dollars to enlarge Crater Lake National Park in Klamath County Oregon adding about 145 square miles to the current 249. The plan, supported by the National Park Service and public opinion, would connect Bend and central Oregon with a future road network and preserve Diamond Lake and Crater Lake’s scenic playground appeal.
