Obituary of Nancy Ann Powers Carr Buckner Stratton
Nancy Ann Powers Buckner Stratton was born October 30, 1853 in Lucas county Iowa and died June 29 1920 aged 66 years seven months and twenty nine days. Daughter of Henry H Powers and Almeda Powers she was adopted in 1857 by the Joe Carrs of Wapello County and later married W S Buckner with seven children born to the pair, six surviving, before joining George W Stratten in 1908 and returning to Ottumwa in 1919 where she passed away after several weeks of illness. The Ottumwa Daily Courier reports.
