The west bound evening train was removed causing many Des Moines Evening Tribune subscribers in Anita to cancel. An effort will be made to restore the train to aid westbound passenger service crippled by its absence.
J. D. Peterson and wife spent several days at the home of their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Wm Schaake near Corning. The note mentions itchy scalps and a massage at Rainbow Beauty Shop 3011f.
D J Stellingworth wife and two sons from Jackson Michigan arrived in Anita Friday for several weeks at the home of Mrs Tierney. Mrs Stellingworth a former popular teacher in Cass Audubon and Adair counties will be welcomed by many old time friends.

Joe Dougherty a former Anita boy has spent the past year in the government hospital at Helena Montana and is reported to be holding his own to a remarkable degree. He is thought to be much improved in his general condition.
An all day service was held at the Christian church in Anita. A basket dinner was served as a main feature, enjoyed by a large attendance that included many people from Atlantic who participated actively.
Dr. H. E. Campbell attended a Mexican man in Viota who suffered a badly fractured foot from a steel rail strike. A separate Main street crash involved a car driven by Robert Dasher and a truck driven by Joe Kopp, with both vehicles badly damaged. Mrs. Robert Scott visited Des Moines with her nephews James and Robert Nelson to see her husband who underwent a major operation last Friday. He is recovering slowly but satisfactorily, a bit of good news for friends in Anita and nearby areas.
Miss Bessie Bell, longtime Music Supervisor in Anita schools, recently completed a special course at a well known conservatory and will be employed in Cedar Falls schools for the coming year.

The Anita Congregational church Missionary Society held its regular monthly meeting Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H Q Stone. Refreshments were served after an appropriate program prepared for the occasion.
