Notice to all interested parties that Marie Jensen has been appointed by the District Court of Case County Iowa as Executrix of the estate of Niels Jensen deceased late of Cass county Iowa. The Mutual Benefit Club met Friday at Mrs. Lewis Hayter's home with a large attendance including Mrs. Frank Sisler and Misses Geneva Godanour Vernita Jewett Louvay Jewett and Hazel Smith. Lunch was served. Plans were set for a party where the attendance-contest losers will entertain the winners.
Mrs. H. D. White and her two sons Leroy and Rodger of Lebanon Missouri arrived Sunday for a several week visit with Mrs. White's parents Mr. and Mrs. John C. Kelley and sister Mrs. A. J. Nelson. They noted many detours caused by high water from recent heavy rain.

Mrs. W. S. Reed served as Record caller Monday. Rev. Fr. M. J. O'Connor spent Tuesday in Anita. Mrs. Anna Porch is visiting relatives in Omaha this week. Two Main street drinking fountains are undergoing repairs this week.
Eva Elizabeth Stineman Rexroade born February 11 1840 in Reichburg Drum state Germany died July 4 1929 at Muscatine Iowa age eighty nine years four months twenty three days due to age related ailments. She immigrated at nine with family and married Conrad Rexroade in 1863 at Grandview Iowa. Children were John George Addie Hawk and William Rexroade. Funeral at Anita M E church followed by interment in Evergreen cemetery.

She notes genuine summer with temperatures from 98 to 103 and praises a bountiful fruit season. She mentions her family ties to Delbert Myers and siblings Laura Miller and Alice Nelson and her husband Rev Charles Knoll a former Anita pastor.
Mrs Blanche Ferry and her daughters Stella and Sarah May of East Moline Illinois spent a week in the city as guests of Mrs A H Steinmetz, Mrs G O Smither and W C Turner. On returning home they were accompanied by Mrs Steinmetz who will stay a few weeks in her former Illinois home community.
The Des Moines home of the late Senator Lafayette Young is offered for sale for 15000 dollars cash. Duane Karns, son of Mr and Mrs Albert Karns, is recovering well from tonsil and adenoids surgery performed Tuesday.
J A Wagner and wife spent Sunday at Ames with their son Byron. The advertisement notes a free spray pump included with each pint bottle of Hytest Fly spray for home use.
Chas Workman begins duties as janitor of the Anita Bank building following W H Stager's resignation. Miss Blossom Walker of Walnut Grove Products Co Atlantic visited Anita Sunday. Mrs Elva Howard and son Harley visit Oneida Illinois with daughter Edith Angerson. Mrs Azel S Ames and sons Bobbie and Azel Jr visit Osceola and Murray Iowa.
Mrs J D Peterson spent the week near Corning at the home of her son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Wm Schaake with family.
Belated April showers hit Arita and nearby areas Saturday. Wm. E. Johnson and E. C. Dorsey formed a new partnership to buy and ship live stock.
Ben F. Gochanour recently bought the A. C. Gochanour estate and remodeled the former Whitmore property. The dwelling has been modernized with an addition and two porches and the family will move in next week. The residence remains a local landmark in Anita.
H. W. Budd, longtime Anita resident, was severely injured by a fall at his East Main Street home last week. Though advanced in age, he is now up and about, with initial concerns that complications could threaten recovery.
Mrs. A. J. Nelson, long a patient at Atlantic hospital for a major operation, was brought home to Anita Saturday and has since shown satisfactory recovery under excellent care.
Mrs J D McDermott will entertain the members of the Ladies Union Club at a 1 o'clock dinner on Wednesday.
