Attorney E. S. Holton and wife visited Atlantic on Monday. End to End Dress Shirts with attached collar priced at 1.25 dollars were advertised by LEWIS'. W. E. Kellaway and family of Des Moines spent Saturday in Anita.
Council Bluffs resident Emmett Newton visits Anita for a weekend while residents—including Bryan Parker Clarence Jewett and families—spend time in town. Local business, church work, school updates, and flood delay jokes fill a wide, readable roundup of Anita life.
Frank R. Leffingwell and wife, Frank F. Fillenworth and wife of Mason City, Samuel F. Lewis and wife, and Mrs. Harriet Wissler of Davenport spent the week in Anita at Mother Ida Dilts McCord's home. The Original Sunshine Club met at Miss Dagmer Jensen’s home with fifteen members and many visitors for games and social time. Next meeting set for Thursday July 16 at Mrs Wilbur Heckman’s house.
Marion Martin and his wife and daughter Miss Maude Lou of Kewanee Illinois spent last week at the home of their uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs Wm Wahlert.
Mrs. Ralph Hockersmith and her two sons Duane and Gael return from a visit with her parents Mr and Mrs C S Clayter in Pine Bluffs Wyoming.
Fred Weatherby reported this week as record. Bruce Black and wife with W. C. Diers and wife visited Fontanelle relatives. Mr. Black and Mrs. Diers are siblings of Mr. Black. Chas. W. Hook and wife from Cedar Rapids stayed with Mother Hook and Miss Vera. They traveled by auto and noted unusually good roads.

Mrs Chase D Robinson of Anita died after a long illness at her home in Anita. The obituary notes her roles as wife mother sister and friend, her church work in M E and Eastern Star, and her family including husband Charles D Robinson and five children. The article lists relatives and visitors from nearby towns and recalls her devotion and faith.
Funeral services were held at the Anita Christian church Sunday afternoon at 2 30 conducted by Rev G E Nichols of New Virginia Iowa interment in Lincoln Center cemetery Columbia Chapter Order of Eastern Star attended in a body paying last tribute in love and respect to their departed Sister Out of town relatives in attending.

Elmer L. Wagner and wife of Ruthven Iowa along with Uncle Sol Wagner attended the Anita Fourth of July celebration. They visited relatives and their scores of old-time friends and former neighbors. The dance goes on with lively music regardless of pavement being smooth rough or muddy, keeping the heel and toe spirit alive.
E. E. Grace and his wife from Harlan have visited Anita this week to spend time with relatives and friends.
