The Sunday School class taught by Miss Hazel Furry held a surprise miscellaneous shower Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Dr H E Campbell. The group enjoyed games and refreshments including sandwiches pickles oranges ice cream cake. Attendees included Orpha Mae Crandall Madeline Metheny Harriet Tyler Inez Wilson Evelyn Stager Dora Jean Campbell and Howard Campbell.
J. L. Stalcup once a prominent Anita resident and business man, now based in Des Moines as a traveling salesman for the Des Moines Saddlery Company, has been assigned a southwestern Iowa territory that allows him to visit his old hometown at regular intervals.
