John Eneix and son Roy return from Chicago Joliet to market their patented door spring after testing. Clarence Sword and wife of Des Moines visited the Burkharts and shared Lamark Illinois graduation memories. Sword works as a draughtsman for a Des Moines Milling company.

Barn and Eight Horses Burn In Early Morning Fire

A barn on a property sold by W. J. Weston to B. F. Simpson burned between three and four oclock Monday, destroying a team of Sammy Karns horses leased to the building and six Karns brothers horses. Harness, hay, grain and other goods were lost. origin unknown. The barn was insured for 100 dollars and the loss paid through the E. B. Holton agency.
