Old Rothschild Bank Building Still Stands

The old Rothschild bank building in Frankfort remains a relic of the eighteenth century establishment. Described by Max Osborn, it was used for banking until Baron Wilhelm Rothschild’s death in 1901, later used for war charity, and donated to the city by Baroness Mathilde. The room for the heads, a conference room, and a decorative iron safe with an unreadable combination are preserved, while the city retains this symbol of a vanished era.
