Cass County Democrats Hold Two Conventions in Atlantic

Cass county Democrats held two conventions in Atlantic on Saturday. One selected delegates to the state convention in Des Moines on April 20, and the other chose delegates to the congressional convention to meet in Atlantic midweek. State delegates include Jeck, McGovern, Downey, Conway, and others. congressional delegates include Janss, Groves, Malone, Curry, Conway, and more. Delegates to the congressional event were instructed to back George Miller of Harlan or any other good Democrat, with unit rule not used for Congress. Both gatherings passed peacefully. The body endorsed re election of Jennie M Ward as County Auditor and urged incumbents Bode Malone Hansen to run again.

Wife of Well Known Pastor Dies in Des Moines

The wife of Rev Dr L B Wicker Wickersham aged seventy two died at the family home in Des Moines Thursday afternoon from a sudden heart trouble She had cared for her ill husband who was bed confined The couple were prominent in the Des Moines Methodist church and Chautauqua circles She is survived by husband two daughters three sons one brother and two sisters

Between Anita and Adair winds were high with minor damages reported.

The Anita P T A holds its regular meeting in the school auditorium Thursday evening April 12 at 7 30 with an engaging program and officer elections to follow. Long-Time Wiota Resident Dies After Illness

Nancy Belle Ingram Daughenbaugh, aged 64, died at her Wiota Iowa home on April 4 1928 after years of illness. She was born February 11 1864 in Knox County Illinois, married to George S. Daughenbaugh December 7 1881, and survived by four daughters Bertha Nora Goldie and Cora plus eleven grandchildren. Funeral at Wiota M E church conducted by Rev L B Sharon. Burial in Wiota cemetery.
