Prof. Kizer refereed fairly and Foster Mathews along with Julia Bailey kept time. Readable lineups include Margaret Palmer Maude Bailey Meta Isokreit Mildred Parsons Bettie Baallenburger Avant Mary West Noel Natoh and Whetsell Center. The ninth grade briefly scored immediately after the whistle but it did not count under game rules. A good crowd enjoyed the contest.
A Manning Times agricultural plea urges organization to aid Dixie farmers facing low cotton and corn prices. It recalls wartime markets and criticizes Wall Street while urging self-sufficiency through increased forage and reduced acreage. The poem calls farmers to unite against speculators and northern buyers.

Misses Florence and Virginia Britt visited Miss Aileen Morris near Kingstree and stayed for the weekend. Mr. John Poston and Mr. Robbie Matthews visited local residents on weekend evenings.
