The Andrews County compressor station of the Permian Basin Pipeline Company has been placed in operation with initial five 1,350 horsepower units and work on five more to total 13,500 hp. A dehydratation plant is also in service. Phillips Petroleum supplies gas via a nearby gasoline plant, and Permian, a Northern Natural Gas subsidiary, delivers gas to its parent for Northern Plains markets.

A sell-out crowd was predicted for the Andrews Stanford game tonight as the last of the reserve seat tickets sold yesterday afternoon. M O Woolam the school business manager reported an entire section of seats had been sold in addition to those from last week's game. Temporary bleachers were to be set up in end zones for bands allowing 1332 general admission tickets in the west stands and 890 in the east stands with only general admission tickets to be sold at the gates.

Final hearing set Monday for Andrews County budget
The final public hearing on Andrews County 1957 budget will be held at 10 am Monday in the Commissioners courtroom. The tentative expenditures total 1 151 886.00 with taxable valuation rising from 55 million to 64 200 000.
