Hal Barnes, 6, was struck as he crossed NW 7th Street around 6:20 p.m. A dog was also hit. Driver John G Kelly and passenger Raymond Leggett of Metropolitan Life Insurance were in the car. Hal is son of Mr and Mrs Tom Barnes and had been at Permian General Hospital under observation.
