Christmas Parade Opens Yule Season Here Friday
The Andrews Christmas Parade kicks off the season Friday at 4 30 p m with Santa aboard a fire engine leading about 20 entries including bands cars floats and color guards. Prizes of 50 25 and 10 will be awarded after the parade with Fantasyland opening at 113 NW Avenue A. Stores stay open late on several December dates and a Chamber of Commerce cash drawing runs on three Thursdays in December with 100 50 and so on.

Mustangs Suffer First Loss to Odessa Bronchos 60 49
The Andrews Mustangs drop their basketball game 60 49 to Odessa High School on Monday night after leading 13 12 early and trailing 36 29 at halftime. Darrell Hobbs tops with 11 points, Jim Leach 10 as Odessa holds on through a tense final period. The JV game went to overtime 69 67 with Odessa prevailing.

Man Gassed Sent to PGH After Nine Mile Road Incident
At about 3 p m a city ambulance responded to a gas exposure on Nine Mile Road south of Andrews. John Lamb 21 was overcome by fumes and rushed to Permian General Hospital where he regained consciousness en route and was admitted in good condition after treatment by attendants.

Second Annual Toy Bowl Set in Mustang Bowl Clash

Messiah Scheduled for December 13 at First Baptist
