Darrell Warren nephew of Gene Warren of here was buried in Oklahoma City Wednesday. He was fatally injured when he accidentally fell from a 175 foot cliff on Armistice Day while out hiking. Gene Warren uncle living here was notified of his son's death. Ronald Warren attended the funeral at Oklahoma City. The family originally lived at O Donnell.

Singleton's Department Store marks its fifth anniversary in Andrews on Sunday November 26. Owner C V Singleton founded the firm on November 26, 1944, and the business has grown since. Local manager Mrs Ola Davis, with Roland Tilly and Mrs Farline Malcolm, will oversee operations. Singleton's also runs a funeral home and burial association with Tilly in charge. A five year sale runs from November 18 to Thanksgiving, and plans for a new modern store on Main Street are announced once legalities on the lot are cleared.

Second Polio Case Reported In Andrews

The Andrews Quarterback Club scheduled a free meal for the Andrews football team at a Monday night session. A committee led by Joe Albright with Knox Irwin Shorty Nixon and Coach Taylor will arrange details and report back. Menu includes bone steaks East Texas yams French fried potatoes and pie with milk or coffee. Members may attend for 150 with the team. A speaker and football film are to be arranged and the banquet date set after the Seminole game Friday night.
