Three New Oil Producers Completed In Southwest Andrews County
Three new oil producers completed in Southwest Andrews County in three fields. University No. 1-AB in the Three-Bar field tested 299.33 barrels of 42 grade oil daily through a ¼ inch choke, at depths around 8,080 to 8,165 feet. Magnolia No. 3-B Cowden produced 268.3 barrels of 40.3 gravity oil from 7,620 to 7,735 feet via a 3/8 inch choke. City Service No. 1-0 University in Block 12 yielded 188 barrels of 37.6 gravity oil through a ¼ inch choke at 7,130 feet after acid treatment.

Andrews Youths to Attend Boys State in Austin
The Lions Club and American Legion sponsor one Andrews boy each for the Lone Star Boys State in Austin from June 8 to 14. Donald Alldridge will be sponsored by the Lions Club and H. T. Corky Wilson by the American Legion. The youths will join peers from across the state and participate in actual state government operations.

Girl Scouts Plan Permanent Camp Drive Near Alpine
A move to buy Miter Peak Guest Ranch near Alpine as a permanent Girl Scout summer camp will launch immediately. The Permian Basin Area Council discussed the plan at a Pecos meeting with 19 in attendance, and Dr. B F Berkeley announced the fundraising drive and negotiations conclusions. The executive board rejected temporary camping for this summer, and leadership changes included resignation of Miss Novella McCaleb and Mrs Max Hammond.

Second Softball Meeting Tonight Reviews Summer League Plans
Final plans will be adopted and a schedule drawn up for the summer softball league at a meeting tonight in the county courtroom at 8 o'clock. The Church of Christ in Rathetraihtrieter announced this week it sent a $150.00 check to the Church of Christ in Texas City to aid relief after the disaster.
