Politicking and Public Works Stir a Rural Texas Town
In the waning days before the primary, local figures rally in Lynn county with trips to Wilson and Tahoka and a fundraiser at the Old Settlers Reunion. A $233,416 Highway 51 widening contract to Strain & Brown, Inc. is awarded, while a Lion drive promotes bicycle safety and a July 8 9 Chest X Ray unit visit. A joke about a judge and a farmer intersects with voter outreach as a public health message reminds of tuberculosis risks.
