A political rally and sock supper will be staged Friday July 2 at 8 p m at the American Legion hall. Sponsored by the Rebekah and Odd Fellows lodges the event will feature speeches by county and precinct candidates music by a string band sideshows and booths and the sock supper. Candidates have three minutes for talks with a dollar fine per extra minute. Ladies should bring four socks filled with food to be auctioned to the highest bidder. Plans remain in the planning stages but sponsors promise a big night for all.
