Mahon Praises Oil Import Action and Seeks 30000 Barrel Cut
Congressman George Mahon praised Defense Secretary McNamara for curbing foreign oil buys and urged elimination of about 30 000 barrels daily of jet fuel imports for military use. He noted the first half of fiscal 1967 will avoid 30554 barrels daily costing roughly 20 million dollars annually if domestic substitutes exist.
