Police report one burglary solved and another under investigation. Sheriff Ray Phillips tracked Walter Merritt to Presidio after a tip linked him to the Jimmy Stewart Welding Shop break in Levelland where stolen bits were sold. Merritt was captured about 30 minutes after the tip. In a separate case, Casey's Drive-In suffered a drive-in burglary Thursday night with about 60 in change taken from the juke box, entry through a broken northwest door, and the thief using the usual keys to access the box.
