Banks Report Quarter Stands Conflicted in Deposits and Loans
The December 31 1974 quarterly reports show Commercial State Bank deposits at 11 810 133 and First National Bank at 9 360 697 totaling 21 171 029 down 260 544 from 1973. Loans fell at Commercial State Bank to 3 193 478 a drop of 2 411 988 while First National Bank rose to 4 760 098 up from 4 552 548.

Mrs. Ethel Wright Dies After Long Illness At 79
Mrs. Ethel Teresa Wright, 79, died at 6 10 p.m. January 9 at Permian General Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Pittsburg Kansas she lived in Andrews 23 years and helped drill the Borger Field’s second oil well. Survived by husband Earl Wright a son Earl David and daughter Patricia Hope Matthews. Services were held at the Downtown Church of Christ with burial in Andrews Cemetery.
