Four Local Boys Ride Lubbock Special to Cotton Bowl
Four Texas Tech fans traveled from Lubbock to Dallas on the Raider Special to watch the Red Raiders play St Mary's in the Cotton Bowl. The last all paved segment of Highway 158 8.3 miles in Ector County connected Midland to Highway 51 completing a three year state project. Local citizens backed the effort despite odds as paving finished.
