Prisoner Moved to Jail After Murder Charge
Roy West, jailed since he was charged with murder in his wife death, was moved Friday from Permian General Hospital to Andrews County jail under guard. Bond not set. Earlier, commissioners authorized sheriff to free eight hour shifts for hospital guard duty and county judge to attend a Portland Oregon conference Feb 23 through March 4 at the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission's expense.

City Council Advances Water Well Plan and Electric Rate Hike
City council met at City Hall on Thursday night to authorize bids for a new water well drill to the left of existing wells in three project phases.
