Mrs. J. S. Erwin Dies in Cisco at 85
Mrs. J. S. Erwin, mother of W. E. Irwin of Mabee Camp, died at her daughter’s home in Cisco on February 15 after a long illness. She was 85 and buried in Sabama, Texas. Survived by three sons, five daughters, three brothers, twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

County Taxable Values Set At 43 Million

Two Completed One Well Staked In Andrews County Prospect
In Andrews County last week one new location was staked and two wells completed in proven oil areas. Magnolia Petroleum completed No. 1 D Cowden in the Dollarhide Ellenburger field with 175.82 BOPD and 8,000 gallons of acid treatment. Sinclair completed No. 11-154 University in Shafter Lake Devonian with 216.39 BOPD after acidizing. Stanolind and others pursued further tests and by-passed a lost anchor delaying Northwest Martin County wildcat drilling.
