Charges Filed After Shooting Here In Home
Assault with intent to murder charges were filed against Mrs. Roy Prather after she reportedly shot her son-in-law Daniel Brinkley at 408 NE 1st. Brinkley, age 23, was in good condition after surgery to remove a bullet from his liver. A .22 caliber revolver was used and Mrs. Prather posted $1500 bond. Car Hits Man On Main Street In Andrews
Dewey Longley 74 of Andrews suffered minor injuries after a car struck him on Main Street near Avenue 1. Ellie Danny Watson of Lubbock was driving the other vehicle. police call it an unavoidable accident with no charges. Longley was treated at Permian General Hospital and released.

Marijuana Charges Filed Against Pair After Arrest
Two 20 year old men, Fredrick W Herzberger and Steve Edward Dunhan, were arrested on Kermit Highway Sunday at 11 30 am. Authorities seized six bags of marijuana found in Herzberger's boot. Each man posted a $5 000 bond and faces possession charges.
