The Andrews County March of Dimes campaign closed with 3957.99 in contributions, about half of last year’s total. Worker Seriously Hurt At Construction Site
Pedro Cordoba a 22 year old employee of A P Kasch and Sons of Big Spring was crushed and with a broken shoulder when the air brakes failed on a concrete mixer at the new hospital project. The accident happened at 2 30 PM as the mixer rolled into a ditch pinning him between the truck rear and forms. Cordoba was moved to Permian General Hospital in critical condition after emergency care. He had moved from Odessa three weeks earlier.
