Local Man and Son Killed in Lamesa Area Crash
An Andrews mother Catalina Valadez, 31, and three other children stayed in Medical Arts Hospital after a collision south of Lamesa killed Rudy Nieto Valadez 40 and his two year old son Edwin and injured others. A Mexican nanny Eduviges Gonzales Marques 19 died at the scene. The cotton burr truck driver Polito Trevino 45 was uninjured. Funeral services were pending Bran non Funeral Home Lamesa.

Andrews High School will host the 1973 Junior-Senior Prom with a 7:30 p.m. banquet in the high school area, a 9 p.m. to midnight prom, and a 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Fun Wake at the Community Building. The event features honoring the Selle and Beau, with several couples nominated and Star from Austin providing music. Tickets for the wake are $2 per couple and $1.50 for a stag.
