Vehicle Flips East of Town Injures Driver

Nix's Niece Dies At MD Anderson Hospital
Mrs. Jerry Locke aged 38 died in MD Anderson Hospital Houston on Friday. Burial was in McAllen after her Midland residence and former Andrews ties. She leaves seven children ages three to 15, who were placed in the Baptist Orphanage in Mission days before her death as she entered a coma.

Andrews School Board Sets Trustee Election Dates
The Andrews School board adopted an order for the annual trustee election to be held Saturday April 6. Three seats on the board are open in places 3 4 and 5 currently held by S. P. Echols Ellison Tom Jr and Bill Rowlett. The board approved a hospitaliza tion policy offering up to 7 50 per month per employee and a study group will finalize plan details. Administrators' salaries were raised with specific amounts for principals the assistant superintendent athletic director and others. The board moved to study the cafeteria deficit and accepted resignations of three teachers.

Four Andrews youths die or injured in San Diego wreck

Heater Theater Fire Near Andrews Suppressed Quickly
A heater theater fire occurred in Means field north of Andrews Sunday around 11 05 a m. Andrews volunteer firemen held the blaze under control by 11 45 a m. It was the only fire over the weekend with the last fire Friday evening a grass blaze northwest of Andrews.
