Two Men Burned In Plant Explosion At El Paso Gas Plant

City Council Approves Equipment Bids and Studies Zoning

Jackson to Play in North-South All-Star Demonstration
Tommy Jackson, last year’s all-state football star, has been chosen to play for the North squad in the North-South all-star demonstration game at the Texas High School Coaches School in Houston this August. The North coach Glenn Frazier announced the selection of 28 Texas players for the showcase finale at the coaches meeting August 4-9. Jackson earned all-district honors and appeared on the United Press Texas Sports Round-Up All-State team and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal All South Plains team.
