Former Resident Dies in Brownfield
Jack E. Fulgham 52 longtime Andrews resident died Sunday at General Hospital Brownfield. He was foreman at the South Fullerton Pan American Gas Plant 1951 56 and superintendent of the Three Bar Gasoline Plant until 1960. A Weatherford native and WWI veteran, he later moved to Brownfield and was active in First Christian Church and Lions Club. Burial was in Weatherford Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include wife Bernice a son James a Texas Tech student two brothers and three sisters.

In a Tuesday night board meeting in Andrews Public Schools 195 teachers were rehired for 1966 47 along with one resignation accepted and a curriculum plan tabled. Ross D Clark junior high social studies teacher resigned to join Waco Public Schools as coordinator of social studies. Gloria Wilson named to replace him. Mrs Charles McCary Glorieta teacher granted maternity leave. A curriculum organization plan by Dr Bob Montgomery was tabled with two alternate plans proposed and a valuation tied delay. Salaries of senior high coaches Laminack and Shipman reviewed corrected to reflect teacher pay scale. both at maximum plus an additional amount.

Andrews man nabbed in booth in obscene call probe
A 25 year old Andrews man was arrested by City police Bill Manning and Hugh Chumley in a telephone booth after a girl kept him on the line while her father traced the call. Police chief James Clark said the investigation into obscene calls continues with about 15 complaints and medical exams pending.
