Local Navy Man Returns To War In Commie Raid
Darrell K. Myers electrical technician of Andrews Texas and crew aboard the high speed transport USS Horace A Bass returned to the Korean war front for a raid behind enemy lines. The operation with Royal British Marines Commandos targeted and blew up enemy transportation facilities and communications installations. After overhaul in the United States the Bass trained personnel for such landings in Far Eastern waters.
