Shell Oil reports an upper Wolfcamp discovery in the multipay Andrews area of Andrews County. The former Wolfcamp workover produced 260 barrels daily of 38.5 gravity oil from 8,352 to 8,384 feet with 1,350 gallons acid treatment and 500 psi tubing pressure. Nearby prospects include a Devonian test by Pure Oil and a reentry by Gulf Oil, with additional tests planned for Ellenburger and Fusselman horizons near Andrews.
