Man Gassed Falls From Tank Near Andrews
Leroy Ward an Atlantic Richfield employee was overcome by gas fumes Friday morning and fell from a battery seven miles west of Andrews on the Kermit highway. He reached his car, radioed for help, and was rushed to Permian General Hospital at 6 18 a m with bruises and a possible fractured ankle.

Widow Breach Contract Suit Filed Over Drugstore Sale
Dan Sullivan attorney for Norvell Moss of Andrews filed in 109th District Court against Betty Dotson widow of Jim Dotson alleging breach of contract to sell Corner Drug for 50000. Bread truck hits pole shuts electricity in Andrews
A bread truck from Mrs. Baird's Bread collided with a guy line, breaking a pole carrying a 12 000 volt line and leaving Andrews southeast area without power for about 45 minutes. Driver Larry Dean Harper remained inside the truck as electric workers cut power. damage estimated at 75 to the truck and 150 to the pole.

Annual Junior Fishing Rodeo Rules Set

Assault Charge Filed in JP Court Against Hector Martinez
An assault with deadly weapon charge was filed in JP court Thursday against 18 year old Hector Martinez. He was arrested after Don Trumpkey reported a pistol threat at a southeast city residence. Martinez posted $1000 bond. Officers Mack West and Weldon Monroe recovered a Derringer .22 pistol.
