Hit and Run Driver Nabbed After Parked Car Damage
Jessie Garcia was charged with leaving the scene and failure to control after his 1958 pickup struck a parked 1962 car in the Dewey Boswell residence driveway in the 100 block of NE 3rd. Braswells woke at 3 35 a m and saw the pickup flee. damages were about 150 dollars. Patrolman Herman Williams located Garcia, who was fined 60 dollars and released.

Davis Injured In Explosion At Pan American Plant
Carl Davis, 54, of Andrews, sustained first and second degree burns to his left hand in a small explosion at the North Cowden unit of the Pan American plant. He was treated Friday night and recovering at home Saturday after being moved to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
